Inktober 2017 has officially drawn to a close and artists everywhere are setting down their pencils and pens to heave a sigh of relief. If you made it to the finish line, congratulations. But if you missed out on the annual event, don't worry: We've complied a list of the best scene-based drawings from this year for your viewing pleasure.
If you've never heard of Inktober, the idea is simple. 31 days, 31 drawings—i.e., draw one piece of art for every day in October, based on the prompt you're given. While there are many different prompts floating around every year, there's only one “official” prompt list, created by Jake Parker. Parker began the Inktober Initiative back in 2009 to improve his drawing skills and develop positive drawing habits, and now artists all over the world share their art each October with the hashtag #Inktober.
