Bowling For Soup play with dogs and cover Suicide Machines—watch

Bowling For Soup are teaming up with AP to premiere a new music video covering the Suicide Machines’ “Sometimes I Don’t Mind” in celebration of their 25th anniversary this year.

With “Sometimes I Don’t Mind” being the first cover in the installment, the band will be releasing 12 fresh covers over the next 12 months to commemorate their career and legacy.

When deciding which track to kick off the series with, it was a no brainer for the band.

“We absolutely love the Suicide Machines,” frontman Jaret Reddick says. “This song came off an album that both the fans and the band look back on with angst, but BFS wore this album out in the van.

“I always thought this song should have been huge. We’re doing a cover every month for a year, so I finally got the opportunity to cover it and I am so happy with how it turned out! I sent the video to the [The Suicide Machines] singer Jason Navarro and asked what he thought. He said, ‘It’s cute, let it fly!’ I don’t think I could have asked for a better endorsement!”
