Casey Bolles covers The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights” (exclusive)

Acoustic indie rocker Casey Bolles is set to release Manhattan via Pure Noise records Jan. 22.  The three-track EP will feature covers from the 1975the Mountain Goats and the Postal Service

“I had a lot of fun recording these songs for a couple days with my good friend (and the producer of my first EP, Freshman), Jay Zubricky in my hometown, Buffalo,” says Bolles. “Manhattan is a series of covers that Jay and I recorded over the summer, with artwork by another friend of mine, Chelsea Beck.”

Bolles partnered with AltPress to bring you an exclusive premiere of the final track on Manhattan, a cover of “Such Great Heights” by The Postal Service.

“I wanted to include a homage to Death Cab, but wanted to go with something more upbeat and landed on The Postal Service,” Bolles explains. “I heard Iron & Wine's cover of 'Such Great Heights' and decided to try something other than an acoustic sound.”
