Christina Victoria Grimmie: Born March 12th 1994

Christina passed away on June 10th, 2016. She was 22 years old.

Christina was born and raised in New Jersey with her parents, Tina and Bud, and her older brother Marcus. She began her journey with music at a young age. She has always loved to sing and write music, and at the young age of 16 she started posting videos on YouTube where she was discovered by, and started working with, Brian and Mandy Teefey of LH7 Management. After having success with her first independent EP release, “Find Me”, debuting at #2 on iTunes, Christina packed her bags and ventured to Los Angeles to pursue her musical dreams. Since then she has amassed almost 3.5 million YouTube subscribers, finished top 3 on season 6 of NBC’s “The Voice” (on Team Adam), as well as hosted their red carpet a following season. Her accomplishments in her career also include performing on multiple television shows including “The Ellen Show” and “Dancing with the Stars”, having multiple album/single releases in the top 10 on iTunes, opening for Selena Gomez on two U.S./Canadian tours as well as Rachel Platten, Before You Exit and the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival and winning an AMA in 2011 for New Media: Best Female, among other many others.

As much as she loved music, Christina also had a heart for animals and has worked on multiple occasions with The Humane Society of The United States, recently winning $250,000 for them through an online campaign with her fans. Next to music her favorite hobby was playing video games with her brother and friends, especially Legend of Zelda.

Christina was truly a light in this world. She loved Jesus and loved people and truly wanted to make an impact on this world with her gift. Anyone who met her was blessed by knowing her. Heaven has certainly gained an angel for their choir.

Christina was preceded in death by: Tina, Bud and Marcus Grimmie.
