Vocalist Bob Nanna says, “'Comfortably Miserable,' like most songs, is about constantly trying not to mess up or embarrass oneself. To the point where the struggle itself to stay upright makes you feel down. A real pick-me-up, I know. But at least you can jump around and dance to it.”
