Vocalist Tyler Dennen says, “'Lay With Me' is the song that divides the CD up. It's the song where the main character realizes he's in control of his situation and begins manipulating to avoid pain. It's the track about acceptance of unrequited love and the giving up of trying, knowing that this will drive the girl crazy, entering the second half of the cycle.”
