Marianas Trench perform soulful acoustic version of “One Love” (exclusive)

Back in October, Marianas Trench performed “One Love” at their CD release party for Astoria. Now, three months later, they’ve teamed up with AP to release video footage of the live performance.

The stripped down version of “One Love” shows off singer Josh Ramsay’s vocal chops, but even though it’s a little slower, the song keeps its uplifting tone.

“I think most people like to think that there’s one person out there for everyone,” says Ramsay. “No one ever talks about what you do if you’re lucky enough to find that person, and you screw it up. What do you do after that? I certainly don’t know, but I’m trying to figure it out.”

“One Love” explores the depressing screw up Ramsay describes, and the original video features scenes of the entire band swimming in a room that gradually fills with water. Sad stuff.

This acoustic video less extreme, yet it's still filled with emotion. Check it out, and let us know what you think in the comments!
