Here are the performances to livestream this week

We’re well into this new temporary way of life of being stuck at home due to coronavirus. Retail stores, bars, restaurants and now movie theaters have closed their doors to the public. This means you’ve probably been sitting inside cycling through the same TV and movie options on Netflix and Hulu, as well as music playlists. However, there’s good news for music lovers. Several musicians are planning livestreams for fans to hear some stripped-down songs and ask some questions.

SiriusXM Home DJ Series

SiriusXM’s rock station Octane is letting some of your favorite musicians take over in their free Home Invasion series. Following Five Finger Death Punch, Korn, Halestorm, Motionless In White and Fire From The Gods, M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold will kick off week six here May 11 at 7 a.m. EST. Future guests include Shinedown, Papa Roach, Nothing More, Asking Alexandria, I Prevail and more. Listeners can stream live from SiriusXM channel No. 37 or the SiriusXM app.

SiriusXM’s AltNation station will also be giving some of the nation’s biggest musicians the ability to DJ from home. twenty one pilots and Bishop Briggs hosted Inside Tracks previously, and Andrew McMahon will host this week. Stay At Home With YUNGBLUD

YUNGBLUD now has his own web show on YouTube Originals titled “Stay At Home With YUNGBLUD.” Similar to the YUNGBLUD Show, the singer will share music and connect with friends and family from self-isolation in his L.A. residence where he’s currently quarantined with his two bandmates, manager and videographer. You can stream his new weekly show at noon EST every Monday and check out the first, second and third episodes now. The series will spotlight the charity No Kid Hungry and encourage viewers to donate to the organization.

Metallica

Metallica are hosting a concert series every week called “Metallica Mondays.” Fans can catch a concert from the legendary act every Monday on YouTube or Facebook at 8 p.m. EST.

No Place Like Home

Noise Pop is hosting its third week of artists for their “No Place Like Home” concert livestream series. In the past, they’ve streamed artists such as K.Flay. The series directly supports independent artists and venues across the San Francisco Bay Area. On May 19, Josiah Johnson (formerly of the Head And The Heart) will perform alongside opener Lauren O’Connell. On May 21, Fruit Bats and Vetiver will perform. All sets take place at 7 p.m. PST and can be streamed on Twitch, Facebook and YouTube. 

Hot Mulligan

Hot Mulligan will be doing a live Q&A session with Audiotree. Viewers can catch the stream on Tuesday, May 19 at 8 p.m. CST. They will be broadcasting on the Audiotree Twitch channel available here.

Moby Rich

Moby Rich are playing a set for Bandsintown Live Discovery. The duo will be streaming here at 2 p.m. PST on May 19. You can also stream their new single “friends*” featuring Bishop Briggs.

Death Cab For Cutie

Death Cab For Cutie drummer Jason McGerr has been hosting streams titled Refuge In Practice with special guests such as the Head And The Heart’s Tyler Williams and Andrew Marshall, who drums for Billie Eilish. The episodes air Tuesdays at 5 p.m. PST and you can tune in here.

Ben Gibbard is taking this time of self-isolation to play songs for his fans on weekly YouTube and Facebook Live sessions called “Ben Gibbard: Live From Home.” Each session starts on Thursdays at 4 p.m. PST. Listeners can Venmo @BenGibbardLiveFromHome to benefit various charities—local, national and international—to aid in the fight against coronavirus. 

Underoath

Every Wednesday throughout the month of May and during the first week of June, Underoath will be listening through their albums together on Twitch. In past streams, they listened to Erase Me and Ø (Disambiguation). Each week, the band will share commentary on the album, allow time for questions and stay tuned for special guests. This week, they will be listening to Lost In The Sound Of Separation with Jordan Buckley of Every Time I Die and Jay Weinberg of Slipknot. Grayscale guitarist Andrew Kyne is logging on to Twitch every Saturday at 7 p.m. EST to stream Call Of Duty: Warzone. Every Wednesday and Sunday, the band will also stream a game of NHL 20 where they compete as the Philadelphia Shamrocks. You can stream the game at 7 p.m. EST.

The Unlikely Candidates

The Unlikely Candidates will take the Facebook and Instagram stage every Wednesday during this time of self-isolation for #FlattenTheHumpDay. Fans can head to their preferred social media site at 3 p.m. CST weekly to see these Fort Worth rockers turn quarantine into a jam session. This week, the band will be doing covers of emo songs. Stay tuned to see which scene classics they’ll be sharing. 

ONE OK ROCK

ONE OK ROCK have six livestream concerts in store for fans over the next two months. Fans can make their way to YouTube Premieres to watch these live shows May 14, 23 and 31 at 10 a.m. EST. A full concert lineup and URL listing is available on their Twitter.

The Front Bottoms

The Front Bottoms are streaming performances and movies from Twitch throughout the month of May and into June. On May 15 and 29, the duo will livestream performances at 5 p.m. EST. On May 22 and June 5, they will stream short films featuring band footage. 

All Time Low

All Time Low are hosting a benefit concert for their crew members. On May 22, Alex Gaskarth will take the virtual stage with his acoustic guitar, and the entire band will make an appearance at 5 p.m. EST. Each ticket for the stream costs $10, and all proceeds will directly go to the ATL crew affected by the pandemic. Tickets are available here starting at 1 p.m. EST Wednesday, May 13. The band will also be selling exclusive merch bundles with the livestream ticket.

“This Is Hopeless (Kinda) Live!”

Hopeless Records is hosting a livestream May 23 on YouTube with some special artists from their roster. Stand Atlantic, Super Whatevr, Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties, Point North and Vaines will be performing. Fans can also expect appearances from WSTR, Afterlife and Between You & Me. You can tune in here at 3 p.m. EST.

Slay At Home

A new metal festival is coming to your desktop soon. Slay At Home is a free virtual metal music and arts festival benefitting MusiCares and GlobalGiving taking place May 29 and 30. You can stream the performance at Metal Injection’s YouTube page. Artists such as Silvertomb and Suicide Silence will be performing from their home, while Luc Lemay (Gorguts), Dave Davidson (Gargoyl), Liam Wilson (The Dillinger Escape Plan) and Elliot Hoffman (Carbomb) will be sharing commissioned music and cover collaborations with other artists. Phoebe Bridgers

Phoebe Bridgers is going on tour in her own house. You can stream virtual concerts from Bridgers from her kitchen, bed and bathroom May 26 and 28 and June 4 and 6. A full list of locations to tune into, as well as time slots, is available here. 

Stronger Than You Think

From May 27-29, several celebrities will be supporting NAMI and One Mind in their “Stronger Than You Think” event to address mental wellness for teens. Adam Lambert, Kesha, Haley Kiyoko, Liam Payne and Noah Cyrus are only a handful of stars who will take part in the stream. The livestream takes place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. PDT each day.  It will be distributed across multiple platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and TikTok.
