1. Cold Years – “Night Like This”

For fans of: Gaslight Anthem, Dave Hause, Hot Water Music

Scottish quartet Cold Years draw you in with undeniably passionate vocals in their rock anthem “Night Like This.” The track is taken straight from their forthcoming debut album Paradise, out May 8, which is available for preorder here. The song, as well as the record, are meant to capture the frustration younger people have in reaction to both America’s and the U.K.’s current political landscape.

2. Orinoco – “Weak” 

For fans of: The Green Leaves and Gamma Sector

Hailing from Joliet, Indiana, Orinoco are delivering heavy bass, guitar riffs and breakdowns sure to please every hardcore fan in “Weak.” As a followup to their 2017 debut Nihilism, you can catch this single among other metal bangers on their forthcoming sophomore EP WHAT A RELIEF due out March 1.

3. Hot Mulligan – “*Equip Sunglasses*”

For fans of: Free Throw, Microwave and Jetty Bones

Pop-punk band Hot Mulligan do it again with their new single “*Equip Sunglasses*.” This music video makes it feel a little bit like summer, perfect for anyone stuck in the colder parts of the world this winter season. “*Equip Sunglasses*” comes from the forthcoming album you’ll be fine, due March 6 via No Sleep Records, which is available for preorder now. 4. The Voodoo Children – “Caroline”

For fans of: London Richards and Schilly

Nashville project the Voodoo Children shared their dreamy debut single “Caroline” off forthcoming first album Instant Nostalgia. The communal project is based around singer, songwriter and producer JT Daly (Paper Route) who became Grammy-nominated for his work with K. Flay. The musician describes the song as capturing that point where you’re pushed to your emotional limit. “At some point in everyone’s life, they reach a point where they emotionally max out,” he says. “They go numb and are faced with the absoluteness of evolve or die.”

5. Fire In The Radio – “Ex-SF”

For fans of: Jawbreaker, Bob Mould, Hot Snakes

Philadelphia’s Fire In The Radio bring their signature fusion of punk and indie to latest release “Ex-SF.” This grungey and dark rock single comes from the band’s forthcoming third album Monuments, which drops April 3 via Wednesday Records. Preorders are available here.

6. TEETH – “Smother”

 

For fans of: Hundred Suns, Every Time I Die and Norma Jean

TEETH is a metal supergroup comprised of Hundred Suns members Ryan “Legs” Leger (ex-Norma Jean, Every Time I Die) and Chris LeMasters (ex-Dead and Divine) as well as Blake Louis Prince (Straight Reads The Line). Following the release of “Filth,” late last year, “Smother” marks the latest in their arsenal of riff-fueled singles. Featuring a delightfully creepy music video, the group offers another taste of what’s to come ahead of their debut EP

7. Mundy’s Bay – “Visions of You” 

For fans of: Bay Faction, Sunsleeper and Glitterer

After meeting in the Montreal punk scene, the members in Mundy’s Bay immediately took to making music without strict genre influences. “Visions Of You” in particular is a delicate tune utilizing simple key melodies and guitar riffs to deliver an emotional narrative. “It is about finding small parts of someone you are longing for in passing moments,” vocalist Esther Mulders says. The track appears on their forthcoming debut album Lonesome Valley out March 13 via Pure Noise, and preorders are available here. Mundy’s Bay will be touring with Bay Faction and Hunny in March, and tickets are available here

8. Gracie Abrams – “21”

For fans of: BENEE, Lennon Stella and Boy In Space

20-year-old singer/songwriter Gracie Abrams brings her sweet, yet powerful voice to new track “21.” Featuring simple beats lacing the background, she fully encapsulates the struggles of young people in her music. Gracie will be playing the U.K. this spring and headlining in New York City and Los Angeles in June with tickets available here

9. Half Hearted – “One Drink”

For fans of: I Hate Heroes, Like Ghosts and Softspoken

Hartford’s Half Hearted delivers “One Drink,” a powerful rock song perfect for healing any breakup. “The lyrics reflect the internal struggle of wanting to be over someone and wanting to just go out and have a good time, but also how the feeling of heartbreak can be too distracting,” the group explains. This tune is their second single from their upcoming debut self-titled and self-released album due out March 20. In honor of their album release, the band will be playing two shows that weekend including a hometown gig. Dates and tickets are available here

10. Nova Twins – “Taxi”

 

For fans of: Milk Teeth, YONAKA and Marmozets

The Nova Twins, a.k.a bassist Georgia South and vocalist/guitarist Amy Love kick ass in their new music video for “Taxi,” drawing inspiration from comic books and action films such as The Matrix and Kill Bill. Their use of heavy bass and synths is undeniably catchy and reminiscent of FEVER 333. In fact, the duo recently signed to Jason Aalon Butler’s 333 Wreckords Crew and will release their debut album Who Are The Girls? Feb.28.
