New Jersey-based indie band OWEL premiere elegant second album 'dear me'—listen

New Jersey-based indie band OWEL are streaming their new album dear me exclusively at AltPress. The album, which is being released by Equal Vision Records, is their second full-length, following their 2015 EP, Every Good Boy, and their self-titled debut from 2013. Partnering with artist Kayla Surico, the band have crafted a stunning full album series of cinemagraphs for the premeire, including an animated video for “Pale Soft Light” created by vocalist Jay Sakong.  

Produced in part by Kevin Dye of Gates, dear me showcases OWEL’s knack for writing intricate, anthemic ballads featuring elegant string arrangements, serene vocals and harmonies, and effortless electronic elements. They are currently on tour supporting the Soil & The Sun, with the November 11 date in New York City doubling as the band's album release show. Everyone who purchases a ticket to this show will receive a free copy of the CD at the venue.
