Purple premiere video for "Pretty Mouth," announce tour dates (exclusive)

Texas band Purple have teamed up with AP to release their new video for “Pretty Mouth.” This comes just before tomorrow's release of their new album, Bodacious.

Singer Hanna Brewer says the band don't identify with one genre. “I feel our music was affected by a lot of the hate that comes out of the south,” she says. “There's a lot of people out there against anything that ain't straight, white and Christian. It made us want to be whatever we want!”

The band can be a little wild onstage; Brewer hand-makes bikini tops which she wears onstage, and each top reflects her current mood. The band has gained some important followers; at SXSW 2016, Green Day's Mike Dirnt came to watch Purple's performance and he's been seen wearing Purple T-shirts during performances.

Though Purple can be pretty punk, the song “Pretty Mouth” itself is more laid-back and beachy than Purple's other songs.
