Song Premiere: Allison Weiss, "I Don't Want To Get Over You" (Magnetic Fields cover)

Allison Weiss and Jenny Owen Youngs are set to release their split y-inch, Double Exposure vol. 2, which sees both covering Magnetic Fields via Asbestos Records.

“When Matt Flood at Asbestos Records approached us about the split, I sent Jenny a list of bands I liked and we narrowed it down to The Magnetic Fields,” says Weiss. “Our mutual love of the record 69 Love Songs made this project especially fun.

“The first time we toured together there was this late night where I was driving and Jenny was co-pilot, and in an effort to keep me awake, she sang Magnetic Fields songs and replaced key words with “pizza”. I regret not doing this on our covers, but sometimes tour jokes should stay on tour.”
