Song Premiere: New Years Day, "Angel Eyes" (featuring Chris Motionless)

New Years Day explore the concept of trading in a victim's life to empower yourself by accepting your inner villain on their new album Victim To Villain. Today, the band have paired up with AltPress to bring you a taste of the album that features a familiar voice, Chris Motionless of Motionless In White.

Stream it and check out vocalist Ash Costello's commentary on the track, below, and tell us what you think!

“'Angel Eyes' is about that devil on your shoulder while having that angel in your ear when you meet someone new that you know is trouble, yet you just cannot help yourself–the good and the evil of it all,” vocalist Ash Costello says.

“When Chris came in to record vocals for the song, it really felt like the last puzzle piece had fallen perfectly into place and upon laying down his first vocal track, I knew we had something brilliant on our hands. He is a dream to work with and in my opinion, sounds incredible on the song! Is there a music video in the works? Well, I guess everyone will just have to wait and see!”

(Hint: Those who have preordered the new album should email a screen cap of their receipt to [email protected] to see the making of the video)

Speaking of music videos in the works: Motionless In White and New Years Day also teamed up recently, as well, for the filming of MIW's “America” music video, which will feature Costello!

Victim To Villian is set for release June 11 via Century Media.
