Song Premiere: We Came As Romans, "Never Let Me Go"
With just a couple weeks remaining until the release of We Came As Romans upcoming album, Tracing Back Roots, anticipation is rising steadily. Today, we're pleased to help tide you over another day in your countdown to July 23 with the premiere of the album's sixth track, “Never Let Me Go.”
“This song was one of the first songs I wrote for the album, all the way back in 2012,” says lyricist/guitarist Joshua Moore. “So, for anyone doubting this direction we are headed in, or the motive behind it, this song should prove that it's been something we've wanted to do ourselves and are really excited to do! I hope you all enjoy!”
The direction Moore cites might be the more melodic approach the band have taken. Out of all songs released from the album so far, “Never Let Me Go,” leans the most heavily toward that side of their sound. Stream the song below and tell us what you think.
