Here's how many listeners your favorite artists had on Spotify in 2020

Snow on the ground and colder weather may signify the end of the year for many, but for music fans, nothing highlights the closing of each year better than the Spotify Wrapped feature. And while we all love seeing how much we listened to our favorite artists, those artists might just love it even more.

Spotify‘s most streamed musician this year was Bad Bunny, with 8.3 billion streams globally. Drake and J Balvin came in second and third, respectively, with Juice WRLD in fourth and the Weeknd in fifth. Billie Eilish is Spotify’s top-streamed female artist globally once again. But what about some of our other faves over at Alternative Press?

This morning, Spotify for Artists unveiled its 2020 Artist Wrapped feature. While listeners are now able to enjoy Spotify’s  2020 Wrapped personalized experience, including new in-app quizzes and even a fresh “Missed Hits” playlist, artists can now check out how their fans have been enjoying their year of music. And so far today, alt artists have proudly shared their streams throughout 2020. Do any of these surprise you?

Boston Manor

Boston Manor dropped their third album, GLUE, back in May. And it doesn’t seem like fans were limited to just their home base of England, either.

You Me At Six

You Me At Six reached 92 countries this year after, likely in part due to the release of November’s “SUCKAPUNCH,” the title track to their forthcoming album.

Breathe Carolina

Breathe Carolina hope they added some light to a “trash year,” and for 16.5 million listeners, that seems to be the case. They shared DEADTHEREMIXES back in April and “Promises” in November.

Hot Mulligan

Hot Mulligan had quite the year, with 19 million total streams globally. They have their March release, you’ll be fine, to thank for that.

Lil Peep

Genre-blending titan Lil Peep‘s popularity was undeniable this year. The re-release of his 2016 Hellboy mixtape helped Peep earn 1.8 billion total streams globally.

Silverstein

It’s also been quite the year for Silverstein. With the help of both Redux II and A Beautiful Place To Down, the group earned a whopping 82.4 million streams in 2020.

The Dangerous Summer

The Dangerous Summer had a “gigantic year,” indeed. Their 16-track Live In Baltimore 2019 project and several singles including “Fuck Them All” were likely a huge part of that.

blink-182

To nobody’s surprise, blink-182 had an exceptional year. They earned nearly 10 million more streams than last year, bringing them to 694.2 million. Their August release “Quarantine” likely helped.
