Taylor Scott premiere new music video for pop-punk anthem “Start Anew”—watch

Cleveland-based Taylor Scott are premiering their new music video for “Start Anew,” taken from the band’s new EP Leaving Home, which debuted earlier this year.

“Start Anew” was the first song written for the band’s new project, and frontman Taylor Scott says it set the tone for where he wanted the project to go.

“For this new project, I wanted to really push myself. I wrote all of the songs while I was spending a semester studying in France; I had a lot of free time for creativity, and I came home ready to hit the studio,” Scott explains.

“‘Start Anew' was the first song I wrote, and it really set the tone for where I wanted this project to go. It's about feeling forced to start over on something you put your all into, and about how sometimes all you need to feel better in that situation is a fresh perspective and willingness to turn a new leaf. I wanted to write a song that would speak to people who are struggling to move on, whether it's from a relationship, losing someone close, or any of life's hardships. If I'm able to make one person smile, I'd call the song a success.”

The music video comes just in time for the band’s show at The Foundry in Cleveland, OH, supporting 7 Minutes In Heaven and the Millennium. The band will also be opening for Chin Up, Kid's album release show Sept. 8 in Indianapolis, IN.
