Las Vegas, Nevada's newly formed the Holy Bright are making their AltPress debut today with “Camus Kids Smoke Camels.” This premiere of earnest pop-punk wears tinges of emo and nostalgia on its sleeves, and features guest vocals from Knuckle Puck's Joe Taylor. It's included on their upcoming five-song debut EP, Sonder, which officially drops on July 21, 2017.

EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE:

Sonder was produced by the band with assistance from Nick Steinborn (of the Wonder Years), who mixed and mastered, and was engineered by Paul Miner (Thrice, Atreyu, Eisley).

DRUMMER/VOCALIST ADAM BLASCO SAYS:

“'Camus Kids' was the first song we wrote for this band. It kind of came from an idea Austin (Jeffers, vocals/guitar) and I had floating around when we were writing what we still thought would be the next Last Call record. When Sam (Blasco, vocals/guitar) started writing with us, we tweaked it quite a bit, and this is where we ultimately landed. Joe Taylor and us have been long time fans of each other's bands. In fact, Joe is probably one of the earliest people I remember getting a tattoo for our band. We talked for years about getting him on a song, and finally worked it out for the last LC record, but when that music never ended up being released, we knew we still wanted to do something together. 'Camus Kids' ended up having the most Last Call-esque vibe, so we naturally thought it would be a perfect fit for Joe to jump on!”
