Get the first taste of the Other Stars with song "You Looked Better At The Party"

The Other Stars have joined AP in releasing “You Looked Better At The Party,” a teaser off their upcoming album We Were Kids. The sneak peek arrives more than three weeks ahead of We Were Kids' release date.

Singer and guitarist Connor Bird says the song starts as a joke. “I was trying to make it sound like a really cliche love song,” he says. “Then as it goes on it gets a little more serious, and by the end it really becomes a pretty sad reflection, which is what the lyrics are about.”

The entire album (available for preorder as CD/vinyl and cassette) has the theme of growing older.

“I was pretty reckless when I was younger, but as I started getting older I saw more and more people falling into drugs and getting arrested and stuff like that, and it made me realize just how messy things can get,” says Bird.
