- The Hives returned from hibernation to announce a new album, Lex Hives

- Psychobilly troubadours Koffin Kats announced a lengthy tour

- Panic! At The Disco looks to be working on new music
- Ditto for Terrible Things; they’re gearing up to record

- Green Day made plans to headline festivals in France and Japan later this year
- Members of Russian feminist punk outfit Pussy Riot are facing prison time for “hooliganism”
- Warped Tour began bringing out the big guns, announcing main stage acts such as Falling In Reverse, Of Mice & Men, Yellowcard, Pierce The Veil; the venue routing was released as well
- Rising digital music storefront Bandcamp claimed their interface is inadvertently combating music piracy
- Of Fortune And Fame joined the Panic Records roster
- Cherri Bomb shared the track listing for their upcoming album, This Is The End Of Control
- Aiden frontman William Control streamed a new solo track, “Romance & Devotion”; in other Aiden-related news, the band’s affiliation with Rock Beyond Belief was again challenged
- Novel American (ex-Paramore) looks to be working on new music
- Tempe, Arizona venue the Clubhouse was shut down after gang-related gunfire happened in its parking lot
- Rumblings from SXSW suggest Apple may be getting into the on-demand streaming music business a la Spotify and Rdio
