Remember when Juicy J opened for twenty one pilots?

It was a warm April night at the University of Cincinnati. Students’ faces and chests were rally cries and screams could be heard ringing across campus, but it wasn’t for a game. It was for none other than twenty one pilots and Juicy J.

April 5, 2014 was the day the duo headlined the school’s One Night Only fest at the Fifth Third Arena. As is expected at many college concerts, there was a diverse lineup. However, none were probably quite as diverse as this one.

Juicy J may have just released a video for his Travis Scott collab, “Neighbor,” but back in 2014, he was setting the stage for the now world famous duo. Local act Hunter Hunted and indie band NONONO also supported the big names on the bill.

twenty one pilots were still in their Vessel era during this time. According to setlist.fm, they also played tracks from their self-titled album such as “Isle Of Flightless Birds” as well as “Anathema” from Regional At Best.

“Car Radio” and the always faithful “Trees” served as the encores for the night.

The band held a meet and greet prior to the gig. Two months before the show, students could win meet and greet access and a backstage pass by watching comedy magician Derek Hughes perform. It was worth it for one lucky attendee.

You can watch a recap of the whole concert below.
