SWMRS might have written “Figuring It Out” in honor of not having things figured out, but they seem to have their work in order.

The Oakland punks released their first album Drive North on Feb. 12, and they’re not slowing down; they’ve embarked on a huge tour across the U.S. and Canada through the next few months. In support of their recent work, they’ve teamed up with AP and Hurley to release a live video of “Figuring It Out.”

Singer Cole Becker was first inspired to write the song about being confused and astray in high school. “I remember feeling really lost in a sea of so-called identity crises when I saw a Ted talk from Tavi Gevinson reassuring the world that it is normal for teenagers not to have it all figured out,” says Becker. “That always stuck with me, and one day I came up with a melody and knew that it was time to write the song.”

The live video shows SWMRS playing a spot-on performance at the Hurley studios. Check out the video below, and leave your thoughts in the comments! Drive North is available here.
