Spanish hardcore band We Ride released their newest album, Empowering Life, back in April, and today they’re premiering their new music video for “What You Are,” featuring JJ Peters of Deez Nuts.

“’What You Are’ is about the fine line split between friendship and indifference. No matter how hard you try to salvage a relationship, sometimes you just have to walk away,” frontwoman Mimi Telmo explains.

Not only are the song and video both important to her, but the band’s collaboration with JJ Peters was a dream for Telmo, too.

“I've always been a Deez Nuts fan, and when meeting JJ (Peters) in person, I saw that he is not only a great frontman, but also a lovely person. Over the years we became good friends and we always have a great time when we share a stage together,” Telmo explains. “While writing this song, I felt it was perfect for JJ and I love how it turned out!”
