Firefly Music Festival 2020 canceled due to coronavirus pandemic
The 2020 Firefly Music Festival is now canceling due to the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
After holding off from canceling for a while, organizers are following suit with countless other events, tours and festivals.

The event was scheduled to be taking place from June 18 to 21. Headliners included Rage Against The Machine, Billie Eilish, Halsey, blink-182, Khalid and Maggie Rogers.
Other notable acts on the lineup included CHVRCHES, blackbear, Cage The Elephant, White Reaper, Cold War Kids, K.Flay and Turnover.

Now, they’re making the unfortunate but responsible decision to cancel the event outright.
“At the direction of state and local authorities and federal guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we are saddened to confirm the cancellation of Firefly Music Festival 2020. We take the safety and health of our fans, staff and community seriously and we urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials,” their statement reads.

All tickets are being refunded in full or ticket holders can exchange their passes for a 2021 festival pass.

Firefly Music Festival joins a number of other festivals which have had to cancel or postpone their event.

Recently, the series of Danny Wimmer Presents festivals, including Epicenter, Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival announced cancelations as well as adjustments to their fall festivals.
The same day, Slam Dunk ended up revealing they would have to reschedule their event for September.
Similarly, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival rescheduled for the fall as well. That news comes shortly after another June festival, Glastonbury, completely canceled their 50th-anniversary festival for 2020.
