Five Faves: Mike Fuentes (Pierce The Veil) on his five favorite places he's visited

We here at AP know you internet denizens love lists. And we know that folks in bands have other interests beyond cranking out decibels. So here’s Five Faves, a column that solicits a list of five subjects from a number of various rockers.

This week, Mike Fuentes of PIERCE THE VEIL tells us about his five favorite places he's visited

1. Tokyo, Japan
Tokyo was by far the craziest place I've ever been. We played there during our Japanese tour a couple years back, and I could've stayed for another year. So much culture shock, amazing architecture, and I got to visit the Asakusa Kannon temple, the most beautiful temple I've ever seen. We visited a “rock bar” where you can request anything to the DJ, but we tend to stick with only nu-metal and if you're lucky they'll stay open past 4 a.m. Plus the show was badass too

2. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, FL
I Just made my third trip to this park last week, and it never gets old. It has everything a “Potter Head” has every dreamed of. Get a Butter Beer, shop for a wand, ride the Dragon Challenge or my favorite ride The Forbidden Journey. Head over to Hog's Head and get a pint of one of their specially brewed beers just for HP World.

3. Melbourne, Australia
Beyond all the touristy stuff in this amazing city, I recommend renting bikes and just having a journey of your own. With so many good cafes, bars and sights, you can simply ride around and have a blast. Not to mention they have one of the best zoos in the world.

4. Bangkok, Thailand
Ever seen a family of four on a single motorcycle dodging traffic? Go to Bangkok, and you'll see some of the most crowded streets with vendors at every step along the way. You can buy anything from fake “Dr. Beat” headphones for $20 to a Ping Pong show (Remember The Hangover?) I don't recommend it. We also stayed in a really cool traditional resort-type hotel where we each had separate bungalows. It was paradise in Bangkok. Some others actually drank cobras blood there. Sick! The show was insane too. Kids singing every word, jumping off balconies into the crowd. Nuts.

5. Singapore
We started our day off here on some kind of Hippo Hop cruise where we traveled around the city with a guide and ended up launching into the marina bay for a short boat cruise. There we spotted a gigantic “boat in the sky”  sitting on top of a 55-story hotel. We needed to get up there and we did! We ended up getting VIP at their night club which looked out over the entire city. Singapore was also the cleanest country I've ever been to where you can be fined for simply throwing your gum on the ground. Try to throw a cig on the ground and you'll end up in jail. No joke.
