Flogging Molly streams increase by almost 1,500 percent on St. Patrick's Day

Much to nobody’s surprise, St. Patrick’s Day causes a spike in Celtic punk. However, for genre staples Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly, St. Patty’s Day is almost equivalent to Walmart on Black Friday.

That said, Billboard just revealed that some bands experience over a 1,000 percent increase in streams on YouTube during the luckiest day of the year.

In addition to Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys, the Dubliners and the Pogues also undergo a streaming increase of over 1,000 percent.

Because St. Patrick’s Day hasn’t happened yet this year, the numbers below are based on 2018’s analytics, according to Billboard.

In other Flogging Molly-related news, the band recently announced that their Salty Dog Cruise would welcome PennywiseFrank TurnerStreet Dogsthe Bronx, the Faction and more. The cruise will depart Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale Nov. 8 and will last four nights making stops in Key West, Florida and CocoCay, Bahamas. There will be nightly performances in the main hall and other parts of the ship. Tickets are available here.
