Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins will play Iggy Pop in upcoming CBGB movie

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins (second from left) has been tapped to play Iggy Pop in the upcoming CBGB film. Hawkins joins a cast that includes Alan Rickman as club owner Hilly Kristal, Malin Ackerman as Blondie's Debbie Harry, Mickey Sumner as Patti Smith and Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory) as band manager Terry Ork.

Variety reports that the movie will begin shooting this month.
