Former metalcore vocalist paralyzed from chest down, hospitalized
Jake Mcqueary, former vocalist for Michigan metalcore band Take The Ark, was hospitalized recently and is paralyzed from the chest down due to a terrible spinal condition called transverse myelitis.
Mcqueary has launched a GoFundMe to deal with mounting medical bills, and to take care of his young children and girlfriend, for whom he is the sole provider. “Without him, his girlfriend and children may lose their place they call home,” the GoFundMe reads.
“In 5 days he went from be paralyzed from waist down to chest down. We still don't have an exact diagnoses. He is in ICU. Jake is just 23 years old and is a loving father of his kids. The main reason why we are doing this go fund me is because he is the sole provider for his family of four. Without him his girlfriend and children may lose their place they call home. Every dollar helps. Please spread the word and prayers to get Jake better so he can go home to his family.”
