Former Valencia drummer Maxim Soria killed in motorcycle accident
Former Valencia drummer Maxim Soria was killed in a motorcycle accident yesterday, Sept. 30, in Warwick, Pennsylvania. He was 28. Local police say he lost control of his motorcycle while driving on a rural highway and hit a guardrail; he was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, reports PhillyBurbs.com.
Soria joined Valencia in 2003; his playing can be heard on 2005's This Could Be A Possibility as well as the band's lone major-label effort, 2008's Columbia-released We All Need A Reason To Believe. He left the band amicably in late 2009, as the band announced in a light-hearted video in early 2010. (See it below.)
Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends and fans of Soria.
