Frank Ocean may be writing and directing his own feature film, according to Discussing Film. The artist is in talks with A24 and 2AM to make his directorial dreams a reality.

This isn't Ocean's first step into the world of film. In 2016, he wrote and directed Endless, an Apple Music exclusive visual album.

Ocean is working with production company 2AM on the potential feature film. 2AM only has two films under its belt so far: Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, A24’s upcoming tongue-in-cheek Gen Z slasher, and Past Lives, an unreleased film from A24 and Celine Song that centers on missed connections and rekindling romance.

Ocean has worked with A24 in the past, writing the forward for the book release of the screenplay of Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight.

Ocean and 2AM hope to begin filming this fall. Sources say Ocean has already scouted locations in New Mexico to shoot the film.
