Frank Iero and crew involved in accident: "We're pretty banged up but miraculously alive" - UPDATED

Ex-My Chemical Romance members, Gerard Way, Mikey Way and Ray Toro, have all posted in support of their former bandmate, Frank Iero, and the Patience after they were in a traffic accident today.
Also, the official My Chemical Romance band account posted a tweet, updating on the situation and saying two of Iero's band members are undergoing surgery.

Frank Iero And The Patience have been involved in a serious traffic accident between their tour van and a bus, according to multiple reports. Members have taken to Twitter, thanking fans for the well wishes and emphasizing that all involved are in stable condition.
Iero has since tweeted, “we're pretty banged up but miraculously alive.”

Bassist Alexander Paul reported, “I have been told everyone is in stable condition.”

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the tour van was parked in front of Sydney’s Twitter headquarters, where Iero was slated to do a question and answer session, when a bus crashed into the back of their van.
Australia’s 9News reports Iero escaped injury—but that two other men were taken to the hospital. The bus was not carrying any passengers, but the driver was also taken to the hospital for mandatory tests.
