Our 90s dreams are coming true —  Will Smith is allegedly working on a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spinoff.

The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, who published a major story on Smith’s projects and wealth.

The article talked about Will and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s cross-platform holding company, Westbrook. The business is working to expand the Smith family brand outside of conventional entertainment into new media outlets utilizing updated technology. Some of the outcomes of the company are Jaden Smith’s concept for sustainably sourced and packaged water and Willow and Jada’s Red Table Talk Facebook Watch series.

The company is also producing Smith-fronted film projects, and apparently developing a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spinoff series. The report also mentions that Smith still earns hefty royalties from the sitcom that’s licensed to air in 193 territories.

The article doesn’t mention anything else about the series, but at least now we know it exists. It’s pretty shocking to hear that Smith is involved in a revival, considering he previously said he’d be involved if a reboot “when hell freezes over, even if Jaden was cast in the lead role.

Needless to say, we cannot wait to hear more about this reboot. In the meantime, back in May, Smith launched some limited Fresh Prince of Bel-Air merch.

The shirt shown in Smith’s video shows a heat-reactive top that changes color when it comes into contact with warmth, and it looks super trippy.

“Made some merch! Sound effects not included. On sale NOW… but only for 72 hours!! Link in bio.”
