Here’s how you can watch Gerard Way’s virtual Comic-Con panel

Due to coronavirus, most large-scale 2020 events have either been postponed or canceled. This year’s Comic-Con is now no longer happening at the San Diego Convention Center later this month. Instead, the convention is hosting various virtual events for Comic-Con@Home including a new panel featuring Gerard Way.

This week, Comic-Con announced the lineup for its Dark Horse All-Stars virtual panel. Alongside Way, Nnedi Okorafor, co-creator of LaGuardia, and Matt Kindt, co-creator of BANG!, are also taking part in the panel.

These past few months have been quite eventful for Way. My Chemical Romance were recently forced to reschedule their highly-anticipated reunion tour. As well, the band also recently shared that they received government loans to help out their tour crew who is unable to work during the pandemic.

Outside of My Chemical Romance, Way is also gearing up for the release of The Umbrella Academy season 2 on July 31. Last week, the first trailer for the new season of the Netflix series was released. Along with the trailer, Way also unveiled a new song called “Here Comes The End.” The track is off of The Umbrella Academy‘s soundtrack and features both Judith Hill and Ray Toro.

Now, it’s been announced that Way is also taking part in Comic-Con@Home 2020. This week, the convention announced the lineup for its Dark Horse All-Stars panel which includes Way.

Way took part in the San Diego Comic-Con last year and discussed many details regarding The Umbrella Academy. So, it’s likely that his discussion with Okorafor and Kindt will include various behind-the-scenes details about the comic series he co-created with Gabriel Bá.
