Ghost "wouldn't have been here" without Alice Cooper, Tobias Forge says

Ghost are one of the leading bands in what most refer to as “shock rock.” Sitting down in a recent interview with Rage, vocalist Tobias Forge pays homage to those who influenced the band.

During the interview, Forge reveals how Ghost wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Alice Cooper.

“What is shock-rock without Alice Cooper?” Forge explains. “I lack the proper words to fully explain how extremely vital he has been for the whole genre of rock and roll, really. But also speaking from a context where I guess we are also a theatrical shock-rock band, we wouldn’t have been here had it not been for Alice Cooper.”

More on Ghost

Earlier this week, Ghost debuted a new lyric video for their third consecutive Top 10 single, “Faith.” The track recently claimed the No. 10 spot this week at Active Rock Radio, joining Prequelle tracks “Rats” and “Dance Macabre.” Both of which reached the No. 1 spot on the chart.

The video contains footage of old brain surgery procedures acting as the background for the track’s lyrics to be laid overtop of.

If medical procedures and surgery-type footage make you uncomfortable, then you probably shouldn’t watch this one.

You can check out the brand new lyric video for “Faith” below.

Ghost are heading out on their Ultimate Tour Named Death arena tour this Sept.
