Metallica's James Hetfield is apparently feeling the Ghost vibes lately, as the frontman and guitarist busted out a quick play-through of the masked metal band's signature tune “Cirice” at a recent Metallica practice—watch it below.

Hetfield got down with the Ghost guitar riff during a rehearsal at Metallica's HQ, and, thankfully, the wonderful footage is here for all of us to enjoy. Does he feel Ghost's presence among him? He can not hide in the darkness!

As reported by Metal Hammer, the Metallica mainstay plays the spooky intro and blazing main riff from Ghost's “Cirice” in the brief clip, the tune itself coming from the mysterious Swedish rocker's breakthrough 2015 album, Meliora.

Ghost's “Cirice” actually won the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, and you can watch their awkward (for everyone else?) acceptance speech right here. The band's fourth album, Prequelle, is out June 1.

As for Metallica, Hetty and company just wrapped up a whole bunch of European tour dates behind their ongoing WorldWired Tour, which picks up against for a lengthy North America run later this year and on into 2019.

Can you hear the thunder?
