Ghost’s Papa Emeritus has publicly revealed his identity

After making an appearance on Swedish radio show “Sommar i P1,” Ghost singer Tobias Forge has publicly stepped forward and revealed his identity for the first time.

As reported by Blabbermouth, he ends the program by telling the listeners: “My name is Tobias Forge and I'm the man behind the mask in Ghost. Thanks for listening.”

Forge’s identity has not been completely unknown, considering the lawsuit he was part of earlier this year with former Ghost members.

However, this is the first time that he has publicly talked more about his background—and the privacy he has maintained through it all.

As the Swedish news source writes, Ghost had success hiding their identities while traveling the world and letting speculations run wild—until now. “Tobias Forge is the man behind the mask in Ghost, and in this show he steps forward telling the story on how Ghost became one of the largest rock bands in the world, and his journey with music,” they write. “In his heartfelt story he also speaks about the love for his big brother—and how important he has been to Tobias Forge.”

In the interview, Forge talks more about the way the band have exploded over the past few years, his relationship with his brother, who passed away in 2009, and what it was like growing up in a small town.
