Good Charlotte covered "Awful Things" for Lil Peep's memorial service—watch

Good Charlotte performed a powerful cover of Lil Peep's “Awful Things” for the late rapper's touching memorial service yesterday.

The service, open to fans and meant to honor Peep's life and legacy, took place in Long Beach, New York and featured special speakers and performances. While Good Charlotte were not able to attend the event in-person, the performance was shared with family and friends during the service.
Good Charlotte vocalist Joel Madden took to Twitter to comment on the performance and express his condolences for the young musician, stating “I'm forever a fan.”

Lil Peep's death at the age of 21 came as a shock to the music community. Lil Peep's mother, Liza Womack, announced the special memorial service for fans shortly after his passing.
Though presumed an overdose, the musician's brother Oskar recently said the death was accidental: “He was super happy with where he was in life.”
