Gwar ruined music

GWAR can't stand Journey, Beethoven and even themselves

Every music lover has that one good song or album that’s ruined by a shitty time or person. For career shock rock scum dogs of the universe, GWAR, the very act of being professional musicians has, in fact, ruined music.

The GWAR guys definitely have a lot of other ruined music and share their disdain for Phil Collins, a particularly scummy Journey song, the adverse affects of money on art and the bad vibes given off by Beethoven. GWAR are blunt, and at times crass, but they offer a lot of sincerity concerning good music gone bad in this APTV exclusive.

The band announced their first 2019 performance date earlier today, making an appearance at this year’s Rocklahoma alongside Shinedown, Seether, and more.

Late last year, GWAR revealed they would begin working on the new album once their tour run was over.

The forthcoming album will be a follow-up to the band’s 2017 release of the Blood Of Gods, which was the band’s fourteenth album.

In a recent interview with Bullet Music, Gwar guitarist Pustulus Maximus shared that the band has a bunch of songs they’re working on.

“We have a fuck-ton of songs in the bank, so I’d have to say as soon as we get back from this tour, it’s time to start writing.”

He then continued on by saying:

“Then again, who am I? Who am I to say? I’m just a lowly, lead, handsome guitar player in the band.”
