‘Halo’ trailer shows off upcoming Paramount+ TV series—watch

Paramount+ has released a full trailer for their upcoming Halo series. The new show is based on the Halo video game series from Bungie and XBOX. It launches March 24 on Paramount+.

Despite being based on the game franchise, Halo will follow a new “Silver Timeline,” according to producer Frank O’Connor. O’Connor says the show will pull from existing Halo lore, history, canon and characters. Ultimately though, the TV show and games will be two different timelines.

“The ‘Silver Timeline’ is grounded in the universe, characters and events of what’s been established in core canon, but will differ in subtle and not so subtle ways in order to tell a grounded, human story, set in the profoundly established Halo universe,” O’Connor explains. “Where differences and branches arise, they will do so in ways that make sense for the show, meaning that while many events, origins, character arcs, and outcomes will map to the Halo story fans know, there will be surprises, differences, and twists that will run parallel, but not identically to core canon.”

Halo stars Pablo Schreiber (Master Chief), Jen Taylor (Cortana), Natascha McElhone (Dr. Catherine Halsey), Bokeem Woodbine (Soren-066), Shabana Azmi (Admiral Margaret Parangosky), Yerin Ha (Quan Ah) and Charlie Murphy (Makee).
