Halsey announces they're starting an unfiltered radio show

In addition to being a musician, makeup brand founder and author, Halsey is now getting into the radio business. During an appearance on the Zach Sang Show, the singer revealed she’s starting her own radio show on Amp called Halsey: For The Record.

“We have been working on this for almost a year now! For the Record gives me a chance to connect in a truly personal way with the people who listen to my show, to share music that has shaped who I am, and to let the fans hear from some very special people in my life,” they said in a statement.

While the radio show doesn’t have an exact cadence, Halsey shared that they’re “in the collecting stage.” The pop star also told Sang she will play music in addition to providing storytelling and added that the radio show is ultimately a way for them to flex their creative muscles.

During their interview with Sang, Halsey also surprise released a cinematic orchestral version of their latest single “So Good” via Amazon. “I love this reimagining of ‘So Good’ – the song’s production originally had an orchestral element and it generates this powerful emotional undercurrent,” they said in a press release. The original version of the Max Martin-produced track debuted back in June.

Halsey’s first radio show will air Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. PT.
