I walk onstage in front of tens of thousands of people and I watch sweat tears and glitter fly through the air in slow motion while they scream. Why did I think drinking warm tequila and orange juice beneath blown out speakers was gonna fulfill me for even 1 second lol.

Assigning felonies to people who seek abortion is a means to assure that those with that autonomy are stripped of their right to vote. And therefore perpetuates the cycle.

Watching our own government be immune to our experience, and the social temperature regarding abortion is another fatal failure for humanity. This is deadly.

— h (@halsey) June 30, 2019
This past summer, Taylor Swift released a statement in regards to Scooter Braun acquiring her Big Machine catalog, sparking a massive #WeStandWithTaylor movement online. Halsey spoke out on behalf of Swift, penning her own statement in support of her fellow artist.
“She deserves to own the painstaking labor of her heart,” the note reads. “She has surpassed all expectations of what any artist is even capable of. She catapulted her stardom into the Milky Way. And it turns my guts that no matter how much power or success a woman has in this life, you are still susceptible to someone coming along and making you feel powerless out of spite.”
Halsey later continued to stand by Swift in November when Big Machine barred the vocalist from performing her back catalog at the American Music Awards where she was being honored as Artist Of The Decade. The ban was resolved shortly after, and Halsey joined Camila Cabello to assist with “Shake It Off” during Swift’s medley.

Thoughts & prayers mean nothing when apathy & negligence cost the lives of children. It gets worse every time it seems, but how much worse does it need to get? The greed of hands being fed by the NRA seems to overpower the right for the innocent to live without fear. Disgusting.
