Hayley Williams says Bayley can use this song for WrestleMania entrance

WWE wrestler Bayley is a known rock music fan. More specifically, she is a big fan of Paramore. Recently, the SmackDown Women’s Champion reached out to Hayley Williams about using one of her songs for her entrance at WrestleMania 37.

Following the request, Williams reached out and said Bayley has permission to use one of her Petals For Armor songs at next year’s event.

Bayley is currently the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion. She won the belt from Charlotte Flair back in October 2019 and has managed to fend off challenges from the likes of Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans and more.

Now, Bayley is preparing for next year’s WrestleMania 37. The event is currently scheduled to happen in Inglewood, Calif. on Mar. 28, 2021. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, the event could be pushed back or continue without the attendance of fans.

Back in February, we learned that Bayley wanted to use a Paramore song for a past WWE entrance. She even expressed wanting them to perform live during one of her entrances.

“Man I would love that! But I don’t think we could get that. I’d love for Paramore to perform for us, but I’ve tried for that in the past. I don’t think we can do that,” she says.

Now, it looks like Bayley may be able to have the entrance she’s always wanted at WrestleMania 37. During a recent livestream, Williams read a comment about Bayley wanting to use “Simmer” for her entrance at next year’s event. Williams eagerly agreed and gave permission to the wrestling champion.

“You have our permission,” she says. “That’s sick, holy shit.”

Bayley shared the video of Williams and her Petals For Armor collaborator Joey Howard on her Instagram page.

Along with this news, Williams has also debuted a lyric video for “Pure Love.” For the video, she used fan-submitted footage from Paramore performances over the years. At the start of the video, Williams shares a note explaining the concept for the video.

“The biggest and most wonderful love of my life, lasting over half my life at this point, is Paramore,” she says. “It was a strange source of healthy tension to step outside my musical home to explore new terrain and give voice to parts of me that, prior to Petals For Armor, I had yet to acknowledge.”

She goes on to say that 2020 was meant to a year where she could rejoin her fans on the Petals For Armor tour. However, due to coronavirus, the overseas dates for the tour are canceled. She anticipates that the remaining dates will be canceled as well.

“The year that had planned would’ve seen many of us gather together to celebrate a discovery of new worlds without ourselves. I couldn’t wait to unleash myself on stage once again,” she continues. “What’s that saying about God laughing at our plans?”

For the “Pure Love” video, she hopes that this footage will bring the Paramore fanbase closer together during these uncertain times.

“With the pandemic leaving many of us stranded and disconnected from one another, I thought of a way to celebrate some times we have already shared,” she says. “It also gives me another way to celebrate the big love I feel for Paramore.”
