See Hayley Williams join Bloc Party's Kele Okereke for a sweet, stripped-down version of "Blue Light"

Soon enough North American fans will get to see Paramore and Bloc Party team up, as the indie-rock titans are joining the pop-punk icons on the first slate of their U.S. tour dates. You can get a little taste of what that epic tour might look like now, though.

The other night on April 23 at Paramore’s London gig and the last stop of their U.K. tour, Hayley Williams brought Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke out after the group opened the show to perform “Blue Light.” The two gave the Silent Alarm classic a sweet, stripped down take — which was basically a dream come true for Williams, as she’s long been a fan of the band and spoke a bit how they informed their most recent record This Is Why.

Before performing the song, Williams said, “Bloc Party has been a huge influence on Paramore since we were little kids, you know? Picking up guitars and writing songs for the first time. And we’ve grown up with this band, the same way that a lot of you have grown up with us and probably have grown up with Bloc Party, as well. So it only feels right to sing a song together that I used to cry to in my car. And maybe we can all cry together.”

Watch a clip of the performance below (and, yes, probably cry along with Williams and Okereke).
