“Imagine all the people living life in peace…”

Paramore's Hayley Williams was understandably feeling a bit down yesterday after the weekend's developments out of Charlottesville, Virginia. In an effort to decompress from the seemingly endless bad news, Williams and her bandmate decided to unwind with a Casio synth version of John Lennon's “Imagine.”

Thankfully, she decided to share the spontaneous Paramore keyboard cover—watch it below!

The video, posted to Williams' Twitter on Wednesday, shows the singer along with Paramore drummer (and HalfNoise leader) Zac Farro having fun with a quick, off-the-cuff version of the late Beatle's 1971 peace-promoting single. Obviously, the duo couldn't have chosen a better song for the occasion.

“Remember to take a break from the news at some point,” says Williams, “so your head doesn't fall off your body.” Good advice.

You may say she's a dreamer but she's not the only one.
