It looks like August Burns Red are already getting into the holiday spirit.
Not only are they gearing up for their annual Christmas Burns Red holiday show, but they are taking on the Mariah Carey classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” for a new cover.

Every year, August Burns Red put on their annual Christmas Burns Red concert. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the band are determined to make their holiday show happen one way or another this year.
On Monday, August Burns Red announced that their annual Christmas show is still happening. However, they are doing things a little differently this year. Instead of hosting the show in their hometown, August Burns Red are taking the concert virtual for a new livestreaming event.
The virtual Christmas Burns Red 2020 show is happening on Dec. 12 at 5 P.M. PT/8 P.M. ET. Tickets for the event are available here and start at $15. As well, the band have released exclusive merch just for the upcoming show.

Along with their annual show, every holiday season August Burns Red release a new cover full of holiday spirit. This year, the band decided to take on the Mariah Carey classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
The instrumental rendition fuses together August Burns Red’s heavy sound with the upbeat melodies of the Christmas classic we get stuck in our heads every single year. Lead guitarist JB Brubaker shares that their “All I Want For Christmas Is You” cover is one of the “most fun” holiday covers they have done so far.
“This year, we decided to take a crack at the legendary Mariah Carey song ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You,'” Brubaker says. “This turned out to be one of the most fun holidays songs we’ve ever done, and a real head spinner for me on the guitar leads. I’m proud of how it came out and think it will be a staple for people looking for a little more metal in their holiday playlists.”

Over the years, August Burns Red have turned other Christmas classics into hard-hitting bangers including “Last Christmas,” “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” and even the theme song for Home Alone.
Fans can expect to see August Burns Red play their new Mariah Carey cover during their upcoming holiday show. As well, the band plan to perform material from their new album Guardians live for the first time ever. The event will also feature August Burns Red’s most festive stage set up yet.
“Doing an annual holiday show has been a long-standing tradition for ABR,” Brubaker says. “This will be our 15th consecutive year, and we didn’t want to let COVID-19 end the streak. While we are bummed we can’t play for everyone in person, we are doing everything we can to make sure that this year’s Christmas Burns Red is bigger and better than ever. This will be our first time playing a bunch of new songs off of Guardians, and we are putting the finishing touches on our biggest stage production to date. We can’t wait to play for you again!”
