After facing various delays amid the coronavirus pandemic, PVRIS finally unveiled their new album Use Me earlier this summer. Lynn Gunn previously told Alternative Press that this new record a big departure from their sophomore album All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell.

“I’m really, really proud of it,” Gunn says. “I feel like it captures where I’ve been musically for a long time. Even on our second record, [2017’s All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell], it was what it was, but there are a lot of things as far as production that I think—pigeonholed is the wrong word, but leaned it to be a lot more rock-sounding. It still wasn’t totally where I envisioned our sound going.”

Now, PVRIS are revealing even more from the Use Me era. On Oct. 23, they unveiled the deluxe edition of the album that includes the synth-pop hit “Thank You.” Gunn further shares that this collaboration with RAYE is a thank you letter to those who have hurt them in the past.

“’Thank You’ is about expressing gratitude to those who may have done you dirt, turning the fuck ups/heartbreaks into lessons for growth and moving forward with power and strength.”

“Thank You” isn’t PVRIS’ only collaboration from the Use Me era. They teamed up with 070 Shake for the album’s title track and Mija and Nicole Moudaber for two remixes off of the deluxe edition. Gunn also remixed a new version of “Loveless” for the new release.

Along with the RAYE collaboration and new remixes, the Use Me (Deluxe) also includes an alternative version to “Things Are Better.”

“Thank You” and Use Me (Deluxe) are available to stream below.
