The Hella Mega Tour was announced in September and immediately drew massive attention. It’s Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy. Those three bands alone usually sell out every date of their tours. Now, they’re all togther and the world couldn’t be more stoked.

The Hella Mega tour kicks off June 13 in Paris and will run throughout Europe, the U.K. and North America with the Interrupters as support.

“It’s kind of a Green Day idea,” Billie Joe Armstrong tells Zane Lowe on Beats 1. “And we talked about how we weren’t really wanting to do stadiums and do something that was like a throwback to Monsters of Rock Tour.  There was, of course, Fall Out Boy and Weezer and now we’re stoked.”

Pete Wentz adds, “I think this tour represents counter-programming, I think that the world is moving in one direction in an obvious way, or whatever. I think that this tour represents counter-programming to that and it’s awesome to take part in that and be a small part of it.”

Now, this epic tour may be coming to Australia. On Feb. 4, all three bands posted the same thing to their twitters. Hella Mega did the same and posted a screenshot of all of the band’s tweets with the Australian tease.
