As well, he also shares exactly what went down when he got the phone call about the BMTH collaboration.

“I’d waited my whole life to scream on a Bring Me The Horizon song. I was pissed in LA when he [Sykes] called and I told him that I was going to the studio immediately,” YUNGBLUD says. “He’s like, ‘Woah, woah, woah – we haven’t finished the song.’ I said I’d been waiting for this call my whole life, got into the studio, turned the mic on and just screamed for seven hours.”

As for YUNGBLUD, he is still celebrating the release of his new album weird!. The 13-track album features the previously released “strawberry lipstick,” “cotton candy” and “acting like that,” his latest collab with Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker.

As well, his powerful track “mars” also makes an appearance on the LP. YUNGBLUD exclusively told Alternative Press how an encounter with a fan at Warped Tour led to the inspiration for the new song.

This week, YUNGBLUD released an exclusive behind-the-scenes video on how the weird! artwork was created. Ultimately, YUNGBLUD wanted to create an album cover that speaks to all listeners no matter what mood they may be in.

“I want everyone who looks at this cover to look at it five times and no matter what mood they are in identify multiple different meanings to every different character.”
