Here’s how to transform yourself into the ultimate Tim Burton character

With Halloween 2020 right around the corner, Tim Burton fans are truly thriving. Now, TikTok is making it easier than ever to become a character from your favorite Burton film.

A new filter has sparked a trend on the video-sharing platform that allows users to become characters straight out of Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie and more.

Even though many of us won’t be taking part in trick-or-treating or parties for Halloween this year, there’s still no excuse to not dress up. Thanks to TikTok, you can transform yourself into your favorite Tim Burton characters this spooky season without packing on makeup or zipping up a costume.

Various TikTok users over the past few weeks have been using the Blue Line Filter, or the Time Warp Scan Filter, to make the transformations. Using the filter, they pull down on their under eyes when the blue line moves over them. This allows the individual to make it seem like they have under-eye bags.

Then, once the line moves past their eyes, the users quickly move their hands out of the way. As the blue line travels down their face, they pull down on their cheeks which makes their cheekbones appear.

Gaining access to the filter is pretty simple. To start, you’ll need to open TikTok and hit the “+” button at the bottom of the screen which will let you create a new video. Then, on the right-hand side of the screen, there’s a label called “filters.” Once you’ve clicked that, you’ll want to open the tab that says “trending.”

From there, you’ll have to scroll through all of the filters until you come across an icon of a face with a blue line running through it. Once you’ve applied it to your video, you should be able to finally transform yourself into your favorite Tim Burton character.
