'High School Musical' school destroyed in a flash flood, along with our childhoods

That Suite Life Of Zack And Cody reunion filled our hearts with so much joy, and another get together we hoped we’d see was a Troy+Gabriella and co. reunion back at East High School. But it doesn’t look like any Wildcats will be able to make their way back to the school—at least for now.

The real East High from the High School Musical series was damaged in a flash flood—yes, even that iconic lunch room.

Last Wednesday, heavy rain Salt Lake City triggered a flash flood that damaged homes and schools—including the iconic East High School, KETV in Omaha reports.

High School Musical alum Martha Cox shared photos of the damaged school. (And we can only be reminded of that “Stick To The Status Quo” moment from the original film.)

Not to mention the gym—and that iconic “We’re All In This Together” scene.

While there is no word on if or how the school will attempt to repair the iconic spaces (Stroh said there is estimated $2-3 million in damage), our fingers are crossed—we’d still love to see that HSM reunion happen, and clearly we’re not the only ones.
