mxmtoon reveals her dream instruments and recording must-haves for the new year

The holidays are right around the corner, and for us, that means stocking up on all the latest merch. If you’re short on gift ideas this season, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered. From comfy kicks and bold jewelry to page-turner books and the coolest variants for your vinyl-loving dad, these artists put together the ultimate shopping guide that’ll have your loved ones beaming. Check out mxmtoon’s picks below.

Bose QuietComfort 45

$329 • Bose

These are my absolute favorite over-ear headphones. I’ve been using my pair of QuietComforts for five years now and still love them just as much. The audio quality and comfort are great for work, travel or even gaming.

Shure MV7 Mic

$224 • Amazon

If you’re not looking to go all in on a Shure SM7B, the MV7 is a great alternative for people looking for a midway point between a USB microphone and one that has XLR capabilities with good audio quality for both.

MalmbäCk Display Shelf

$15.99 • Ikea

I got into collecting vinyl earlier this year, and these have quickly become my favorite way to store and display the records I have. Very clean and simple, but still surprisingly strong! You can find them scattered across my entire hallway alongside my favorite albums.

Suzuki Omnichord OM-84

$700 • Reverb

Another dream instrument of mine. The original Omnichord is sadly out of production, but I dream about being able to play around with one. Suzuki now produces the QChord, but the original Omnichord is unrivaled.
